Blessings Faithful Watchmen, Prayer Warriors and Saints,
It is with great sorrow, yet with gratitude for no loss of life, that we share with you the devastating collapse and loss of Engaging Heaven Church, a 300 year old church in the center of New London, CT , a new light First Great Awakening Church. The church is owned by Engaging Heave and shares the sanctuary on Sunday with the First Congregational Church of New London, the previous owners for centuries.
The Engaging Heaven Church was initially pastored by James and Debbie Levesque, and is currently pastored by Bob and Sarah Nichols. Apostolic Leader James and Debbie have now planted 5 other churches. Kingdom Watchmen was birthed during the years when I was intricately involved in James first church in New London and in the initial building of the new Engaging Heaven church.
There have been so many national and international speakers at Revival, Awakening and Harvest conferences in this Great Awakening church over the years. The fire of God is there and continues in its people who are the church. They are overcomers.
We have just finished our weekly prayer meeting covering all of Engaging Heaven and the building in prophetic intercessory prayer. It is difficult to believe that this historic beautiful old stained glass stone church with its great clock tower and steeple are no longer there. Tears flow. As I write this the demolition team is working through the night to dismantle and demolish the remaining unstable structure. We speak peace to Engaging Heaven, the land and New London. Again, I recall the burning of the town of New London by Benedict Arnold during the Revolutionary War. And I recall the Fall Feast of Tabernacles 12 hour prayer meeting with the pure raw power of the Presence of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit where we ended up baptizing new believers at the beach in Long Island sound in pouring down rain. Just know many dreams and visions and prophetic words show that Revival, Awakening and Harvest will burst forth in New London. Lord, we continue to worship and praise you forever and ever. Out of the ashes Revival, Awakening and Harvest shall raise up mighty warrior-monk sons and Bride of Christ.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
PLEASE DONATE. KINDOM WATCHMEN IS SUGGESTING A FIRST FRUITS OFFERING FOR ENGAGING HEAVEN, NEW LONDON. Let’s sow into the Engaging Heaven Glory Fire that resides in and is released by their leaders, the faithful intercessory team and congregation. Their breakfasts and meals and outreaches have blessed the homeless and community for years now.
James & Debbie and their worship team have spoken into Kingdom Watchmen revival and awakening gatherings many times and we have been blessed by the national and international speakers who have brought the revival fire and harvest preaching at Engaging Heaven to New London and Connecticut.

NEW LONDON, CT — A church that dates back centuries collapsed Thursday afternoon in New London, closing part of downtown.

New London police advised people to stay out of the area shortly before 2 p.m. as emergency services were “working an active scene involving a collapsed building.”
The City of New London posted that the Urban Search and Rescue Team and state police search dogs were on site. There were no reported injuries of 4 p.m.
Police later posted an update that City Hall and the post office would be closed for the remainder of Thursday.
New London Mayor Michael Passero told WTNH News-8 that the absence of the historic church will leave “a gaping hole” in downtown.
Engaging Heaven Church, current owner, and First Congregational Church of New London, prior owner, dates back to the 1600s, according to its website
“In the late 1800’s, our current church bell was used by arrangement with the town to call people to town meetings and to sound fire alarms,” the church’s website states.
The church shares space with the Engaging Heaven Church, WFSB-3 reported.
Engaging Heaven Church’s Pastor Bob posted on Facebook that one person was inside at the time but that she was okay. The church later said that “no one is hurt and everyone is accounted for.”
In a Thursday night update, state officials said that the “Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), Connecticut Task Force 1 (CT-TF1) continues to work along state and local officials in New London at the scene of the church collapse. Specially trained K9 units who work with USAR continue to search the rubble.”
Gov. Ned Lamont said in a statement that he is “in communication with State Police and emergency management officials regarding the church collapse in New London and we have deployed state emergency services personnel and equipment to assist in response efforts.
“I urge everyone in the area to follow the direction of law enforcement and other first responders who are working to keep the community safe,” Lamont said.
